- Coming together in and around the Bristol area in late 2006, electro rock five piece Medallist exist as a glorious anomaly in a musical era dominated by run of the mill 'indie bands' and fly by night 'next big things'.
Delivering jagged slices of rock-centric sound, taut guitars and a pulsing rhythm section, the sound is one of technicolour dreams, electronic malevolence, catchy hooks and stadium sized anthems. This is a band standing apart from the pack, never afraid to try something new, ensuring every musical flourish and movement is scored with celestial vision uniquely displayed in their heartstoppingly immense live shows.
An already exciting year has seen the band ink a deal with Gut Recordings and very soon Medallist will be touring their own brand of genre bending rock around the UK, prepare to be blasted into euphoric orbit!
